Iranian envoy stresses expansion of ties with Congo

Iranian Ambassador to Democratic Republic of Congo Hamid-Reza Qomi on Tuesday called for further expansion of all-out cooperation between the two countries.

In a meeting with Minister of Relations With Parliament Adolphe Lumano Mulenda, the Iranian envoy underscored the need for promotion of bilateral parliamentary ties.

Qomi delivered a written message from deputy foreign minister for parliamentary affairs to Mulenda inviting him to visit Tehran in the near future.

Welcoming the invitation, Mulenda referred to Iran as a country with ancient history and civilization.

He further praised struggle of the Iranian nation for achieving independence and development.

He called for exchange of experience between the two parliaments.
