President: Muslim, independent states should cooperate more

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that Muslim and independent states should have extensive cooperation with one another.

"Regarding ongoing conditions governing the world, the independent, friendly and Muslim countries should have extensive cooperation with one another," President Ahmadinejad told new Tanzanian Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad Maharaj here on Monday.

The president said Iran sees no limit for expansion of relations with Tanzania.

Receiving credentials of the new Tanzanian ambassador, President Ahmadinejad said there are abundant grounds for expansion of bilateral relations.

He hoped that in light of efforts being made by senior Iranian and Tanzanian officials, bilateral relations will further expand in all domains.

The Tanzanian diplomat said for his part that during his mission he would do his best to promote bilateral relations in line with mutual interests.
