Iran-Deputy-SADC
Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad-Reza Baqeri on Saturday met with officials of Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states.
On the sidelines of the SADC foreign ministers meeting, Baqeri held separate talks with both foreign and defense ministers of Angola and Botswana as well as Swazi foreign minister on bilateral relations.
The two sides examined the next foreign ministers meeting of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that will be held in Tehran on July 28-29.
Baqeri termed the NAM meeting as an important event due to its agenda, calling for the NAM member states play active role in the upcoming event.
Baqeri said that Iran has strong determination to expand economic and political ties with the African countries and nothing can make the country overlook widening its relations with the independent states.
