Iran-US-MP
The United States has inflicted many damages on Iranian nation with its hostile policies along three decades and it is expected to compensate for the trampled rights, an Iranian lawmaker said on Saturday.
Member of the Majlis Presiding Board, Hamid-Reza Haj-Babaei said that Iranians have had many memories of US hostility and hated them.
The MP made the remarks commenting on the new shift of the US policy vis-a-vis Iran.
In a major shift from a longstanding policy, the US State Department announced last Wednesday that Under-Secretary of State William Burns, the third-highest US diplomat, would join the upcoming talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 about Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
The talks are currently underway in Geneva with the participation of Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili and the European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana representing the G5+1.
"The US should recognize Iranians rights and stop its hostility toward Iran," Haj-Babaei stressed.
