Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham on Saturday confirmed replacement of Minister of Road and
Transportation Mohammad Rahmati.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he added that Mr Rahmati's experiences and capabilities will be used in another post within the government.

Elham's remarks were made in response to a question about cabinet reshuffle.

He added that the care taker of the ministry will be announced soon.

He reiterated that the government and all ministries are making great efforts to serve the people and materialize the country's objectives.

Meanwhile, Elham added that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will introduce the new minister of economy and finance in the due time.

President Ahmadinejad appointed Hossein Samsami as the caretaker of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on April 22.

Samsami replaced the former economy minister Davoud Danesh-Jafari.

Samsami previously served as secretary of government's economic commission.
