Official: Tehran-Cairo ties strong

Tehran, July 8, IRNA

Iran-Egypt-Relations
An informed source at Iran's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that the current relations between Iran and Egypt is very strong.

He rejected the hue and cry created by the western media to this end and said relations between the two sides is much more consolidated to be influenced by such propaganda.

On distorted news regarding the screening of the movie 'Hanging of Pharaoh', he said the movie was produced by a non-governmental institute.

Iran is a free country and production of such documentary films by the private sector does not reflect Tehran's official stance, he said.

There is no doubt that Tehran's official stands will be declared by the country's officials and two sides relations are based on friendship and brotherly ties, he said.

He called for expansion of all-out relations between Tehran and Cairo.

Iran believes in mutual respect, he said adding that the two sides cultures and civilizations have been respected by both nations as well as the entire region, he said.
