Ahmadinejad rules out possibility of military confrontation

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday that no confrontation will take place in the region.

Ahmadinejad made the remark in a news conference on the sidelines of D8 Summit in Kuala Lumpur, adding that Iran will spares no efforts to promote security and peace in the world.

Some nations and governments around the world are worried that Tehran's nuclear program would trigger a war between Iran and the US or Israel, he said, adding that on the contrary Iran is making efforts to prevent a new confrontation.

The president reiterated, "We are making all-out efforts to expand peace and security in the world. You should not be concerned about a new war."
