Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday that Iran has always been a part of solution to the Middle East issue.

Mottaki, who is in Kuala Lumpur to attend the Foreign
Ministers' meeting of the Group of Eight Developing Muslim States (D8) ade the remark in a meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Rais Yatim on the sidelines of the meeting.

The two sides in the meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways of expanding mutual ties in energy and housing sectors.

They also discussed regional and international developments and cooperation among NAM member states at regional and international levels.

Yatim for his part stressed further expansion of bilateral ties.

The leaders of D8 member states are expected to endorse a 10-year trade roadmap in their meeting on Tuesday aimed at boosting economic cooperation and trade among member nations.
