Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Sunday Tehran does not back any candidates in the US presidential campaign.

"This blatant order only demonstrates the belligerent policies of the White House against the Iranian nation," Hosseini said.

On Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maleki's upcoming visit to Tehran, he said that Iran is well-prepared for the visit.

Given to good ties between Tehran and Baghdad, he expressed the hope that the visit would take place as soon as possible.

He underlined that the Iraqi people should administer their own affairs and underlined that Tehran is against presence of US forces in Iraq.
