Iran-President-Central Asia
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the countries located in Central Asian region which enjoy common civilization should collectively try to attain development to protect their nations' interests.
President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a message addressed to a regional confab on "Central Asia" on Saturday.
Given their common culture, history and civilization, the countries of the region can easily attain development which will benefit all regional nations.
People in the Central Asian region are against tyranny and injustice, said the Iranian president.
After collapse of ex-Soviet Union, the bullying powers have been trying to weaken regional nations in order to dominate them through cultural inroads but to no avail, he said.
These powers are now trampling upon other nations' rights, supporting the Zionist aggressors and seeking to sow seeds of discords among countries of the region in a bid to obstruct their development and progress, he said.
Relying on their huge cultural, economic and historical assets, these nations can overcome these plots and attain development, pointed out the president in his message.
Since Iran has attained significant development and made great achievements in various fields of commerce, science and technology, the country is now ready to put all these achievements at the disposal of other regional countries, he said.
