Iran-Concert-Nazeri
Noted Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri will perform concerts in Tehran and 15 other cities to the accompaniment of Molavi Band for several months starting July 15.

Speaking at a news meeting here Tuesday, Nazeri said, "I have always observed one principle in producing my works and that was I am not and was never an imitator.

"Since I am a composer, I have always undertaken studies and research works."
Nazeri also maintained that the artist should promote his/her art all the time and express his/her feelings.

Performance of concerts by Nazeri in Qazvin, Yazd, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kerman, Rasht, Sari and Tehran was earlier finalized and the first event will be held in Qazvin on July 15-16.

The second concert will be held in Interior Ministry Auditorium in Tehran from August 7-12.

The concerts are to be sponsored by the Institute of Hafez Art and Culture.

Last year Nazeri was awarded France's Chevalier des Arts et Lettres Medal for his lifetime achievements in Iranian traditional music.
