Iran-Turkey-Ibn Sina
Istanbul-based Marmara University will host the International Ibn Sina Symposium from May 22-24.
The symposium is organized by the Marmara University, Faculty of Theology, Islamic Philosophers Association and Istanbul Municipality.
During the three-day event, researchers from Germany, Belgium, China, Greece, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will present their articles on the role of Ibn Sina in science, philosophy, law, mathematics, medical science, psychology and pharmacology.
Some Iranian researchers including Mohammad Ebadian, Abazar Cheraqi, Pirouz Fotorchie will also present their articles in the symposium.
Abu Ali al-Husayn ibn Abd Allah ibn Sina also known as Ibn Sina or Avecina was a Persian Muslim polymath and the foremost physician and Islamic philosopher of his time.
