Dean of Gilan University Abdollah Hatam Zadeh visited Georgian State University on Tuesday at the head of a delegation.

During the visit, Hatam Zadeh called for expansion of cultural, scientific and educational cooperation with Georgian universities.

He also visited Batomi and Tbilisi universities.

Hatam Zadeh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Batomi University on exchange of professors and students and joint research programs.

Gilan University began cooperation with Georgian scientific centers on 1995.

Georgia has a population of six million people.
