Dust storm followed by rains lashed India's capital

Due to cyclonic circulation over North India, heavy dust storm followed by torrential rains lashed India's national capital Delhi, Wednesday, throwing normal life out of gear.

Office-goers had a tough time reaching their destination as heavy rains lashed the city from around 9 am.

There were also reports of trees being uprooted in many parts of the city.

According to Met official, due to cyclonic circulation over North India, a big patch of dark clouds has enveloped the sky causing rains and dust storms in the city. There will be rains throughout the day.

The maximum temperature hovered at 37.9 degree Celsius while minimum temperature dropped to 26.8 degree Celsius from Tuesday's 27.3 degrees Celsius.

The Met department has forecast partly cloudy sky with rain and thunderstorm in the later part of the day. The maximum temperature is predicted to stay around 38 degrees Celsius, the Met official added.
