Offering all possible help to tremor hit China, India expressed deep sorrow at the loss of life and property in the neighboring country.
"India is ready to offer any assistance that China may require in the aftermath of the massive earthquake that killed over twelve thousand people", India's Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has written to his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao, said an official release issued here.

The biggest earthquake in the three decades has devastated a wide area in the south-western province of Sichuan. Chinese officials say at least 12,000 people have died but tens of thousands more are missing, buried under the rubbles of collapsed buildings.
