Some books by Martyr Morteza Motahhari, a noted Iranian scholar, have been translated into 20 languages, the martyr's son said here on Saturday.
Addressing a meeting in Semnan, Mohammad Motahhari noted that the works of Martyr Motahhari have been received enthusiastically across the world.
"Some 500,000 copies of Martyr Motahhari's books have been printed and published so far," the Motahhari's son said.
Motahhari is considered among the influential figures in the ideologies of the Islamic Republic.
Martyr Motahhari wrote several books on Islam, Iran and historical topics. He also taught philosophy at Tehran University.
'Teachers Day' in Iran is observed on Ordibehesht 12 (May 2), the date on which Motahhari was assassinated.
