Iran-Japan-Calligraphy
The first exhibition of Iran-Japan calligraphic works called 'The Pen's Orient' was inaugurated on May 1st at Imam Ali Religious Museum in Tehran.
Director of the museum, Mojtaba Aqaei, told IRNA on Thursday that the 10-day exhibition is being held with the cooperation of the Japanese Embassy in Tehran.
It aimed at promoting cultural relations between the two capitals and presenting parts of Iranian and Japanese arts as two great oriental civilizations.
Aqaei added that 45 calligraphic works are put in display by 20 Japanese artists along with 50 works by Iranian contemporary masters of calligraphy.
Moreover, some 390 further works by Iranian calligraphers in the Pahlavi and Qajar Eras are also displayed at the exhibition.
