Iran-Yazd-Heritage
Some 244 ancient, cultural and religious monuments have been placed on the waiting list for registration as national heritage, Yazd Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Department announced here on Tuesday.

The cases for registration have been obtained and submitted to the central office of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization.

According to the report, the monuments include mosques, historical bazaars, public baths and ancient edifices.

Currently, some 6,500 historical monuments have been identified in Yazd province of which 150 have been registered on the national heritage list.
